I grew up in the suburbs of Northern California, and spent my 20s living my own version of a Jack Kerouac journey. Some of my most memorable times were while having lived in New York City, and having almost gotten bit by a rattle snake while camping out in the mountains of New Mexico. My previous professions include being an union electrician and a vending machine route operator.

In my spare time, I enjoy being a foster parent to dogs from adoption agencies and reading about sociology on my Kindle. To stay fit, I go to a boxing gym.
